Posted by Erin Reese on 10th Dec 2015

The New Year is upon us and with it comes a whole new slew of possibilities for a healthier new you! Unfortunately, most goals set during the beginning of January tend to fall by the wayside as the middle of February rolls around. If you’re looking at ways to be a healthier you in 2016, consider checking out our 28-day Paleo meal plan here in Austin, TX. We’ll deliver your breakfast, lunch, and dinner every 7 days for 28 days.

Today we’ve got some paleo diet habits that you can include in your New Year’s health resolutions to help you hold yourself more accountable and stay on track.

  1. Eat organ meats about once a week. Chicken or beef liver, as well as chicken or turkey giblets, kidney, and even beef tongue are great organ meats that deliver a healthy dose of the nutrients and minerals you need. Plus, they’re almost always cheaper!
  2. Always wash and prep your vegetables as soon as you get home from the grocery store. What’s the point of putting it all away only to take it right back out and wash it? Save time and wash, prep, and cut up all of your vegetables right away so that you can make cooking time shorter. Another plus? You’ll have healthy snacks whenever you might need them. Time management AND healthy snacking? Check!
  3. If you’re cooking dinner at home, double all of your ingredients. Why? You’ll have something healthy and nutritious to take to work for lunch or another home-cooked meal already prepared for dinner tomorrow!
  4. Consider adding turmeric to your spice selection! This is an easy habit to get into and turmeric is full of healthy benefits. Turmeric has strong antioxidant properties and is easy to add to any recipe.
